Bio
Richard’s love for people and family are what has led to his successes and has driven him throughout his career. His life’s mission has been to help as many people as possible live the American Dream and make smarter financial decisions.
Richard’s passion is to allow people to fulfill their life’s goals and pursue their life’s dreams. He realizes that finances play a huge role in either helping a person’s dream become a reality, or a hindrance.
Richard would describe his job as that of an educator, and he spends a huge part of each day teaching and educating, both clients and non-clients, sound financial principles, debt elimination tips, and investment advice. Richard has donated his time by speaking at Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes, University classes at multiple universities, Junior Colleges, and private businesses.
Education
Richard’s education started young. As a boy he was given the opportunity to study all around the world, which led to his love of culture and humanity. He became fluent in his 5th language by the age of 19. He studied in Ensenada, Mexico as a Jr High student. A year later Richard studied a marine biology program in New Zealand and Australia getting his first college credits as an 8th grader through Eastern Washington State University. Two years after that amazing experience, Richard’s entire family moved to Brisbane, Australia while he in the 10th grade. After that year, they moved back to California where he completed High School in Antioch, California. Immediately after High School, Richard left again this time moving to Valencia, Spain. After his year in Spain, he started in an honors program at CSU, Chico where he completed all his pre-requisites as a freshman and declared his majors; Business Finance, International Business and Spanish. After his 1st year in college, Richard took a leave from school to fulfill his dream of serving as a missionary for his church for two years. During those two years Richard lives in the Naga and Legazpi regions in the Philippines. Upon completion of his missionary services, he returned to college at CSU, Chico, obtained his degrees, and began working as a personal financial advisor.
Getting to Know Richard
Richard enjoys spending time with his 5 kids and participating in their many activities. In addition to their activities, Richard is an avid runner, usually completing several races every year. Distances have ranged from 5k races to full-marathons. If there is an outdoor activity, Richard has either done it, or dreams of doing it. As a boy he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and has a love of outdoors ever since them. The more secluded the better.
